Short version: We store your financial inputs and simulation results so you can come back to them. We count how many AI and simulation requests you make to prevent abuse. 2a. Financial inputs you provide
These are stored in our database (Google Cloud AlloyDB) linked to your session or, if you sign in, to your Google account ID. We store them so you can retrieve your last simulation when you return.
2b. AI conversation history
If you use the AI chat feature, your messages and the AI's responses are stored alongside your simulation. This lets the AI maintain context across your session. Conversations are tied to your session or account and are not used to train any AI model.
2c. Usage counts
We record how many AI requests and simulation runs you make per day. This is used strictly for rate limiting — to prevent any single user from exhausting our cloud API credits and to keep the service available for everyone. Counts are keyed by your Google account ID (if signed in) or your IP address (if you are a guest). We do not log the content of individual requests in this counter — only the count.
2d. Google account information
If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google display name, email address, and profile photo URL from Google OAuth. We store your Google UID to link your data. We do not store your Google password.
2e. Session identifiers
We generate a random session UUID stored in your browser's local storage. This lets you retrieve your last simulation without signing in. If you sign in, your session is linked to your account.
Google Gemini (AI provider): When you use the AI chat or metric explanation features, your financial inputs and messages are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate a response. This is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We send only what is needed to answer your question — we do not send your name or email to Gemini.
Google Cloud (infrastructure): Our database (AlloyDB) and backend (Cloud Functions) run on Google Cloud Platform in a private VPC. Google Cloud processes data under its standard data processing terms.
Google AdSense (advertising): We may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google uses cookies and similar technologies to show relevant ads based on your browsing activity across sites. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalised ads at adssettings.google.com. We do not share your financial planning data with AdSense — ads are served based on general browsing context, not your simulation inputs.
Google Search Console & Analytics: We use Google Search Console and may use Google Analytics to understand how users find and use the product. These tools collect aggregated, anonymised data about page visits. We do not link this data to your individual simulation or account.

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Our database runs in a private VPC with no public internet access. API keys and credentials are stored as environment variables and never exposed to the browser. We use Firebase Authentication (Google Sign-In) — we never handle or store passwords.
aiMFinvest is intended for adults making financial planning decisions. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page with a revised date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
